Birds & bees – it is a project represented by
an online platform that provides sex education
materials for children and teenagers.
The main goal of the project is to increase interest
in the topic and provide useful materials for starting
a discussion. There are posted a board game with
situational questions to be discussed with parents
and comic booklets, divided by topic and age groups,
made on the basis of articles and texts from reliable
sources such as the World Health Organization.
The goal is to make sex education as accessible
as possible to everyone; therefore, all comics are
made in a home printer format, in black and white,
so that you can access the comics or easily print
the comics you are interested in from home in
A5 booklet format.
Why "birds & bees"?
The phrase "the birds and the bees" is a term used
to explain the mechanics of reproduction to younger
children, relying on the imagery of bees pollinating
and eggs hatching to substitute for a more technical explanation of sexual intercourse.
But here we don't use analogies that confuse children
and they receive distorted information that builds
an artificial picture of sex, relationships, anatomy, etc.
On this platform you will find truthful information
age-appropriate for children and teenagers of different ages.
